I will summarize some of our work in the area of simulating lattice models, with a focus on near-exact classical simulations.
I will draw from examples in spin and fermionic systems and discuss both ground-state and dynamical problems. The main focus of the talk will be on the
simulation methodologies, the prospects for future improvements, and potential comparisons with quantum simulators.
