In this talk, I will present a pedagogical introduction to quantum chemistry and summarize some important open questions in the field. I will also make connections between quantum chemistry and other fields and discuss how quantum chemistry has been affected by and has affected other areas of science. Lastly, I will advertise our contributions to the field and more exciting future directions ahead of us. The talk is designed for people with no prior knowledge of quantum chemistry.
